Joan Simoncelli was a trans woman who called the police when her nephew punched her car window while shouting transphobic slurs. When the police came, they arreseted her. She was placed in the male population, while she was female. This shows that transphobic bigotry that is normal under capitalism. She did what people are told that is the "good" thing to do; she called the police, but because of the double standard trans, nonbinary, and intersex people face in the capitalist court system, and the court case is scheduled for this month.
